As time went on Lovato pursued her singing and instrumental career and wasn't acting but, recently, Lovato has been a guest star on Prison Break, Split Ends (pilot) and Just Jordan. In January of 2007 Lovato landed a series regular role on the new Disney Channel original short series, As the Bell Rings as Charlotte, which premiered on August 26, 2007 during Disney's back to school special night. Lovato is going to be starring as the role of Mitchie Torres for a new Disney Channel Original Movie, called Camp Rock which also stars the Jonas Brothers. It is set to premiere in 2008. Demi also just booked the part of Jenny in a new pilot for Disney Channel called Sketchpad. Lovato is also a singer/songwriter as well as an accomplished musician, playing guitar and piano since the age of eleven. This skill is proven on As The Bell Rings.
