So there that is
This would be a list of my movies that are in between comedy and drama, but no one calls them that. Instead, they are referred to as "Wes Anderson wanna be", or "quirky" or "movies that have similar feel". Oh yeah. This last one is used when you've just seen one, but want more, and don't know how to ask. Some call them indie, others disagree, and so it goes. For me, they are just something between drama and comedy. I will also include Wes Anderson himself and regular "indie" movies, whatever those might be. You know, cause "they have similar feel"

I've seen this one five times, in three days, so I guess that explains a lot. |

Running With Scissors (2001, R)
I didn't like it. I know it is supposed to be based on actual events, but I never believed anything that happened. |

Be Kind Rewind (2008, PG-13)
I've seen this on one slow day at work, and I didn't realize at first it was Gondry. It didn't promise much at first, but I was bored, and I really like Mos Def and Jack Black so I decided to watch it no matter how trashy it looked. I found myself laughing out loud and really enjoying myself. When the movie ended I finally realized it was Gondry, which made me love this one even more. You see, he did disappoint me a little bit with "Science of Sleep" which I felt was to fake and way overdone. Yes, you are weird and imaginative and so kwel, we know it, you don't have to keep proving it. |

There is certain type of movies that I tend to call misanthropic, or Gibsonian movies, since those are typical in opus of Mel Gibson. In fact, directors who make this kind of movies, usually make no other kind (von Trier, Iñárritu) but Gibson is just most famous among them all. |
