This is a good anime film, and i mean really good. It is.....just...so GOOD. I fyou were only going to see one anime movie in your life, this would have to be the one.
awesome! was pleasantly surprised by this one. Just sorta caught it on tv... had never heard of it. One of my top 5 animated films now.
Absolutey great. The book and the movie connect. And although a british author mad HMC, the Japanesse directer was finamanal. Beautiful. Love it to much, can't help but ponder about it. Not too mention, HMC is a disney movie. One of those great ones. Really good watch. Try to look for it at the movie store.
HAH!!
I think I've read this in Omi's magazine
Watched this last year.
It's pretty wicked ;9
I saw this like ten years ago, so I really need to watch it again. I honestly don't remember a thing.
THIS ROMANCE IS UNFORGETTABLE HOWL IS REALLY HANDSOME AND HIS PERSONALITY IS DARK AND ENIGMATIC
I REALLY ENJOY THIS FILM
well its not like the old miyazaki movies, but the characters are still unforgettable. its just a little bit long and overwhelming
surprisingly good as i did not like the trailer but you do get wrapped up in the fun and moving imagery. The score is beautiful and there is some real feeling in the voices
Not many, if any, Anime movies can top this one. Very heart-warming, funny and emotional every Anime fan should make sure this film is in their collection.
I've seen this movie like 5 times in a row (never in english though)
It's really nice, I love it! =)
Miyazaki has a GREAT imagination!
I love this movie! it's one of my most fav Miyazaki-sama movies. The story is wonderful and the creativity with the art work rox my sox!!
I must say, Howl is so HOT!! He's the best looking out of all the Miyazaki movies!!! This is a MASTERPIECE~~
A trippy Japanese movie about a mechanized castle thing and a weird werewolf dude who befriends a mysterious girl.
OK! So far, I have seen about 3/4 of the movie because for some reason... Veoh only had that much ._.
But oh my gosh I think I'm in love with Howl O.O
Loved this one so much I searched for months trying to buy it. It finally showed up at the BX and I got it. My 3-yr-old absolutely LOVES it. It's a good thing we all like it so much!
Another masterful work of cinema from Miyazaki. This man is an inspired and inspiring genius. Not quite at the same echelon as his masterpiece 'Spirited Away,' but certainly a fun romp for the whole family to enjoy.
This is one of my Favorite Movies. The book is a bit different but Hayao Miyazaki did a wonderful Job. I never get tried of watching it.
Based on Dianna Wynne Jones' beloved novel, HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE is the ninth animated feature from Hayao Miyazaki. It's about a young girl who becomes cursed with old age by a jealous witch; to break the spell she must travel to the titular structure and deal with its enigmatic owner, the charming yet mysterious wizard Howl and his carping fire demon, Calcifer. While I was admittingly disappointed with this movie upon my first viewing (I was expecting another action-adventure story along the walls of PRINCESS MONONOKE and CASTLE IN THE SKY; this film concludes in a more drawn-out manner than SPIRITED AWAY did), it has nonetheless grown on me and is very much another Miyazaki masterpiece. It's an undeniably gorgeous film, with imaginative set pieces and charming, characters that come across as loveable (including a feeble old dog who communicates with wheezes) and fully defined (the supposedly "wicked" witch isn't as bad as she initially appears to be), making HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE a delightful way to pass two hours of one's time. Continuing with their top-quality treatment of Ghibli's output, Disney supplies yet another fantastic English dub, with excellent performances from everyone involved, especially Billy Crystal, who scorches up every scene he's in as the fiery Calcifer (hey, he's hot).
Miyazaki truly put a lot of his greatest work into Howls Moving Castle the story of a young woman who is turned into a old lady by the devious Witch of the Waste and goes looking for Wizard Howl to possibly help her change back, unbeknownst to her that she will take part in some of the most drastic thing going on in the story from dealing with Howls Curse, Cleaning and castle, and dealing with war and trying to break her own curse. The characters and creatures of this anime movie are truly outstanding and breathtaking like always in Miyazaki's works. It's different than the book but either way Howls Moving Castle is an enchanting story with breath taking artist work which will give entertainment not only to children but to adults as well.
i can watch this film over and over- the plot turns in the story are great (especially what happens to howl!) and even the english dubbing is awesome, billy crystal as calcifer was hilarious!
What a great film. I suggest to watch it first with the Japanese audio and then with the English audio. Most voice actors can not capture the same emotion as the original actors, but Bale is fantastic.
