This movie was so funny! I loved every bit of it. Usually kids movies have like swearing and whatever to make it "PG-13" but I didn't see one thing wrong with it. I can't wait to buy it on DVD!

Angelina Jolie, Seth Rogen and Jack Black are in this film together, and perhaps someone would have imagined something more of their specialty areas, namely: sex, drugs and rock n roll rather than the animated PG offering of this flick.

Black plays Po, a clumsy panda noodle chef who fantasises about being a Kung Fu fighter with the furious Five, Tigress (Jolie), Viper (Lui), Mantis (rogen), Crane (Cross) and Monkey (Chan).

When fate shines a light on Po and he is named the Dragon Warrior--the only one who can defeat the dreaded Tai Ling (Ian McShane)--he must decide whether it really is his destiny or a perilous suicide mission.

As far as the storyline of this movie, I guess you get pretty much what you'd expect from the storyline--a morality tale about inner-strength and the uniqueness of you. The film combines the best aspects of animation, like the ability to depict scenes that would be unfilmable in live action, with a big cinematic feel of an epic martial arts movie.

The script is also decent. On one level it's laconic, like many kung fu films, with the exception of Black's comedic interludes. Certainly there's anecdotal twist and turns in this film, and I'm still grinning.

I was expecting some adult humor, of which, I found none. Further, I found very little humor in it at all. Po (Jack Black) was the most annoying of the characters. Not good when the plot centers around him. I was actually hoping the bad guys would win in this one.

Never have I seen a cartoon character fully take on its personality from that of its voice actor ... here being Jack Black. ... Had a lot of laughs with a lot of heart ... and a setting you never see in a kids cartoon movie ... but I think thats what writers go for eh? ... SCADOOSH!

That was great! Funny and smart, with little wisdom jems like "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present" and the voice of Jack Black, Kung Fu Panda made it pretty easily in the list of my favorite animations. Po is my hero now! :-)

A very good Dreamworks animation. The latest efforts from Dreamworks animation haven't really been that good and below par, Shrek 3 anyone? But this movie seems to be a sign of a return to form. The beginning of the movie does threaten to be like the recent movies form Dreamworks, but it quickly sorts itself into its stride. Po, voiced by Jack Black, is a fat Panda who dreams of joining the famous furious five. But he works in his dad's noodle shop (for some reason his dad is a bird) and is only aloud to dream of noodles. But when a dragon warrior has to be selected, Po is surprisingly selected, much to the dimsay of the public, the furious five and their master Shifu. Up till this point is Kung Fu Panda pretty routine, with average gags and its not really inventive. BUt then the action kicks in. This movie features one of the best scenes in a movie I have seen so far this year. The escape of evil snow leopard Tai Lung is breathtaking , thanks to the amazing visuals. The films uses great slo-mo and the scene justs flows expertly, a key shot being when thousands of arrows are streaming down and Tai Lung jumps to get to a lift and it goes to a slo-mo wide shot of him jumping with the arrows comng down with a wonderful red glow behind them. That scene really stands out and what follows is incredibly entertaining stuff with further great fight scenes, the furious five and tai lung on the bridge being a standout. The training montages are great, it really is ust basicly the Karate Kid with little talking furry animals in place. The ending does stil feature excellent fight scnes, and yet it still has to contain a special little message so the little kiddies get some good values from this movie. Its understandable but you always think the kids probably don't really care that much from learining good values from a movie so why bother. May just be me. The voice casting is pretty spot on. They have very big names doing the voices but you don't really dwell on it like looking at a character and thinking oh its Jack Black etc. Its all very subtle and you on't really care because you're more intrested in the characters, which helps the film get abit more across to the audience. I do really recommend this movie, mostly because it features brilliant fight sequences and amazing animation. But I still don't get why his Dad was a bloody bird!

Dreamworks best work so far! Animation is greatest to show up from the DW studio, the story is heartwarming and the dialogue will have you laughing out loud and wanting more. The action scenes are creative and the whole thing is one great Kung-Fu experience

Directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne

Set in ancient China, the plot revolves around a bumbling panda (Po = voiced by Jack Black) whos greatest dream is to be in par with the great furious five, kung fu masters of china (Viper, Monkey, Mantis, Tigress and Crane). In "real" life he is but a noodlefolk, and spends most of his days collecting actionfigures and posters of the five kung fu masters. One day he dreamt of being the most awesomest kung fu master that china has ever known, and thus the story begins...

Its a funny, cute animation that also has a good moral lesson (thats.. more suited for the kiddielets??? I mean, I think people aged 17 and up should know that moral lesson already. 0_o!)

For some reason, Tigress reminded me of the Kellogs Tiger mascot, hahaha!! There was also one part on this movie that got me in stitches, but Id rather let you guys watch it so you can enjoy this pretty awesome, wholesome flick ;)

Try not to look which actors actually voiced what character and guess who did what character, hehe!!

funny. I like it. sometimes i wonder if the little kids get the humor cuz i think they're more for grown ups. Anyway, i like the message of the movie....that sometimes what you dont like about your life or yourself, is the one thing that'll define you and make you shine.

Really nice animation and story even if it was a little predictable (hey, it's a kiddie movie, what do you expect?). Best parts were probably the opening bit and the end fight. It was also quite funny during some parts. ^_^

This movie is AWESOME. It reeks of awesomeness! One of my favorite animated kung-fu movies! Po was hilarious (i could see Jack Black in him) and adorable and pudgy and fun and adorable! I was impressed by the other celebrities who voiced the other characters. I loved the moral and message it had, especially Master Oogway's (the turle sage) quote. The storyline is great, the animation is amazing, and the kung-fu action was cool. GET READY TO FEEL THE THUNDA!!!
