    To say this film is 'full on' would be putting it mildly. Plenty of drama and Bill Bob Thornton and Halle Berry give the performance of a lifetime.

    Monster's Ball is a saddening yet beautifully realized drama about loss, loneliness and things coming together by different yet similar circumstances.


    Hank (Billy Bob Thornton) is worried that Sonny (Heath Led) won't be able to do his job in an upcoming execution. He falls for the executed cop-killer's wife (Halle Berry). The deeper their relationship becomes, the more he begins to hate his father for his beliefs. He is changing, and can no longer face the evil in his house.


    An wonderful drama, made without any big budget or tricks, Loved it.

    wow what a shocking movie....i have just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a really powerful movie 2 watch...its got a really good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie...i think that the director of this Romance, Mystery & Suspense, Drama movie had done a really good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie its a really powerful Romance, Mystery & Suspense, Drama movie 2 watch n its got a great cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie

    An actor worth seeing: Heath Ledger. His scene was short but he made his bits very moving and powerful.

    OMG Halle's sex scene looks like from a porn movie.Okay,the long steamy scene was definitely unnecessary and if they aren't careful enough, this might turn into a tacky and tasteless pornographic film that people will only recall the sexual intimacy between Halle and Billy only.

    The title comes from a custom in medieval England where prisoners awaiting execution were called monsters. The night before their execution, their jailers would hold a feast known as a monster's ball as their final farewell. For those who don't know what monster's ball is.
