I figured it would be the same formula as the first one, and I wasn't let down. But it didn't grab me as much.
Enjoyable enough flick, but the 'treasure found' was less believable than the first. Ed Harris was wasted with the small role he had in this film. The chemistry and humor from the first National Treasure didn't transfer to this sequel. Worth a watch but a let down from the first.
Not that great really. A weak opening scene and not grabbing enough. I just wanted to turn it off, but stayed in the hope that it would get better. It did begin to get so much better when "the book" came into the picture. After that it was a great movie. It had a very dissappointing start. Good cast.
It's pretty wretched, but gets an extra star just because Justin Bartha is totally adorable. Nicholas Cage, however, sucks. Full review soon.
being biased as I'm a unconditional fan of Cage I gave this movie 3 stars all of them to mr Cage...So don't take my word for it
better than the first
better than the first
I seen the movie actully on the the day it came out.
It was ok. Started out as a graet sequel but in between it lost its charm. instead of being new and original, the plot seems redundant. almost like the 1st one. and connection bw the assasination and the treasure seemed trivial, almost forced upon. and th climax is most disappointing. getting to the treasure seemed so easy. there was no tension. no excitement. im a big fan of the 1st one cuz it brought the genre of historic treasure huting back. the indiana jones series is a great example of such movies. all the movies are completely original and each movie possesses a different tone and sequence of events. dont no abt the 4th one though, havent seen it yet :D
I loved this movie. =] I loved the first one more but this one was awesome as well. I love that part where's he's at Buckingham palace and he starts acting all crazy. xD
ok nicholas cage again...but this is really a great movie but not as good as the first...the book is really intriguing i'll admit...
I really enjoyed the first one. Well...except for Cage's overacting. But I liked the concept. My brother and I used to create scavenger hunts when we were younger. It was fun and the first movie reminded me of that. Why does Hollywood insist on m...(read more) aking sequels when one is definitely enough? Don't waste your time.
Not as good as the first installment, but a worthy successor, Ed Harris is alright, I prefer Bean's character in the first one.
I loved it, thought it was a tad better than the first one, which im happy about bcoz normally they get worse but this one was an exception! The story was great, the introduction of Helen Mirran as Ben's mum was great. Alot funny and bigger than the first one, I enjoyed it. Great movie.
This was even better than the 2nd one which is rare for movies. I absolutley loved it. I can't wait for the 3rd one to comeout.
brilliant
well....i've seen this movie....the plot is so tight....the action so clever as clever as the puzzles....
I love this movie! Nicolas Cage is amazing!!!! Anyone who disagrees obviously needs to be in an insane assylum
This movie is great. I loved it a lot, myself. I want to see the first one after this.
Nicolas Cage is amazing. Absolutely hilarious. He's one of my favorites. The plot is great. And I love the whole suspense.

This is such a great genre--suspenseful and yet clean enough to watch with the kids but totally enjoyable to the parents. Looking forward to another?
Great Movie! I want to know what is on that page the president asked about so there had better be another one!
One of the better sequels made for any movie. Just as good as the first one, though the originality was stolen from the first.
Fun car chase. Mayan/ Aztec/ Olmec (couldn't decide which one throughout the movie) gold in South Dakota, though? How weird is that? I notice they didn't say a thing about Mount Rushmore being in the Midwest...

Absolutely brilliant - I loved it! As good as, if not better, than the first! Who cares if the plots are realistic or not - the ideas (the twin desks and the combination) are very clever and it keeps you entertained the whole movie. Can't wait for the next one!
My comment is as good-er as yours is,...!!!! So there,..!!!
if there was anything worth commenting on, is everyone wants to keep knowing what the secrets is, next,...we're as nosey as the next person,...chances are who gets to know the secret first?!? do you believe it's you who pay for the movie???? ha-ha-ha,...you nosey bugger, you,...!
good to enjoy at least, comment all you like,or complain all you want,...who cares,...! this is sme thing to do until we all die!
