Made by a team of contributors as cosmopolitan as the city itself, this portrait of the city is as diverse as its creators' backgrounds and nationalities. With each director telling the story of an unusual encounter in one of the city's neighborhoods, the vignettes go beyond the 'postcard' view of Paris to portray aspects of the city rarely seen on the big screen.

Racial tensions stand next to paranoid visions of the city seen from the perspective of an American tourist. A young foreign worker moves from her own domestic situation into her employer's bourgeois environs. An American starlet finds escape as she is shooting a movie. A man is torn between his wife and his lover. A young man working in a print shop sees and desires another young man. A father grapples with his complex relationship with his daughter. A couple tries to add spice to their sex life. These are but a few of the witty and serendipitous narratives that make up PARIS, JE T’AIME.

An outstanding host of actors including Natalie Portman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Fanny Ardant, Elijah Wood, Nick Nolte, Bob Hoskins, Juliette Binoche, Emily Mortimer, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Rufus Sewell, Barbet Schroeder, Ludivine Sagnier, Gena Rowlands, Miranda Richardson and Steve Buscemi, grace these vignettes with their larger-than-life personas. Their performances add even deeper resonance to this affectionate love letter to one of the world's most transcendent cities.

    i really love this movie ... am sooo excited to visit this beautiful city " Pairs "
    but theres toooo much of short stories .. i got distracted ..
    but u must see it

    A fascinating and diverse look at the city of love and lights. Some clips work better than others, but those that rock, really rock. A wonderfully little movie, really.

    20(not sure if it's 20 but certainly a lot!) short films shot in Paris by great directors. showcase some of the most beautiful shots of Paris. Enough said.

    A few bad, a few mediocre, but most of these shorts are great. Doesn't feel like a regular film, but it's still cohesive enough to avoid feeling like a collage. Overall a highly entertaining concept that is light enough to enjoy at first glance, and deep enough to go back to.

    Beautiful shorts.
    This film explores the very characterisitc that makes us humans. LOVE. As beautiful or as corny as it may sound.
    The fantastic accomplishment is that it's never corny.
    I see reviews saying is not deep enough. For those fellas... what do you want people? Is a compilation of short films, not someone's biography on the big screen.
    And it doesn't matter. Sometimes love, (or what we might confuse with love being young and stupid) takes just a second. These shorts capture that very second, and so beautifully you become instantly infatuated with Paris. The films keep you wanting more, and that's exactly when you know how perfect it was.
