Plot: Set in the English settlement of Jamestown, Virginia in the year 1607, this tells the romanticized tale of English settler Captain John Smith and the famed Native American heroine who saves him.

It has its moments, but Pocahontas is pretty dark for a Disney animated feature. I like it, make no mistake, but I think it shouldn't have been made, considering the stuff Disney was pumping out at the time.
very romantic! the music and scenery is just awesome! i love the adventure that john smith had undergone.
a disney classic about the white conquistador john smith and the native american Pocahontas who fall in love, not very well done i thought but pretty good.
Being a decendant of Pocahontas, I was at first disappointed that Disney would taint my heritage with their shlock. But then I watched it... and considering their target audience, I suppose it wasn't too bad.
i like this film when i was a child...one of interesting Disney film...i would like to see it again...
beautiful disney film. possibley one of my favourites. shame we dont see the love story fully finished at the end. great music!
I wonder if this movie is even slightly historically accurate!? I doubt it. She was 12, he was 27... I think Disney conveniently overlooked that!!
An enchanting tale with a beautiful soundtrack that will have you wishing that you could sing with all the voices of the mountain and paint with all the colors of the wind. This is a fantastic movie that your entire family will love. It was also nice to see Disney introduce a non Caucasion princess to the Disney Princess family.
this is one of my favorite disney movies of all time but its really sad because john smith doesnt stay
Executives actually thought this was going to be the big earner, and that The Lion King would under-perform.
Pocahontas is a touching tribute to the power of loyalty, courage, cooperation, and, more than anything else, sympathetic understanding. "You think the only people who are people are the people who look and think like you"
The real surprise is how romantic the darn thing is; when Pocohantas and John Smith finally kiss, it's the most sensual meeting of animated lips since Lady and the Tramp collided over a strand of spaghetti. As for the supposed historical liberties taken, well, yes, Pocohantas looks like a Native American "Baywatch" babe and not a 12-year-old and, yes, there's no historical basis for a romance. But I'll bet wart hogs and lions don't hang out together on the Serengeti either, as they do in "The Lion King."
It's true that the plotting and characters are simplistic, the animal gags are silly and the sensibility is very New Age -- but hey, this is a cartoon. And as a cartoon, a piece of family entertainment from the best in the business, "Pocahontas" is more than satisfying.
The only Disney movie without a happy ending. It´s a classic, the music, the characters, the humor everything is very diney's style. I love it really really do love it, I love the song of "The colors of the wind" it's very moving and beautiful. Smith is hott jaja and I love the temper of this native princess that is in love with nature and life.
too bad there should have been more to this and sticking closer to the history instead of making it so dramatic caz there was really no reason too. it's a good story on its own.
One of the more recent Disney movies. Loved it. Haven't seen it in years, I would have loved to see it again.
For a Disney adaptation to come out based on hostorical events, this one seemed quite reasonable to assume was how life was lifke for this young woman who lived back in the late 15th/Early 16th Century.
I had to take away a star since it's not very historically accurate, but I guess they couldn't make it accurate anyway since it was a kids' movie. But I <3 this movie anyway.
A good Disney film about a Native woman and an English man who fall in love, while her father tries to prevent it. An enjoyable story. The cast of voice actors are pretty good too.
One of my favorite Disney movies. Actually attempted to tackle some deep themes , good songs too. Not very historically accurate.
In competition for worst Disney Cartoon ever. Boring and forgettable. On par with the Disney direct to video sequels.
This is, of course, a bastardized version of the true story of Pocahontas, but the movie is pretty good anyway. I love Disney.
5 estrelas... mlhores desenhos animados p mim... hehe... cnheço as falas quase tdas (snão tdas) d cor e salteado... :S ;P
The Americans Has Landed Into The Indian Territory To Find Gold And Bring It Back, Can The Two Kinds Get Along With Each or Will It Turn Out Into A War
DID YOU KNOW THAT WHEN JOHN SMITH MET POCAHONTAS, SHE WAS ONLY 12 YEARS OLD?
i really have not watch such a movie. but presume it will be a good one.
THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME...I EVEN HAVE POSTERS OF POCAHONTAS IN MY ROOM BECAUSE I'M SUCH A GREAT FAN..SOME PEOPLE EVEN SAY THAT WE ALMOST LOOK THE SAME!!!!
Racism in Amerikkka. Ignorance and gall knows no bounds with this crap. Offensive in so many ways and it's dressed up as a kids movie - as if kids in this nation weren't misinformed enough.
thisa is one of the best disney films in the history of time i absolutly love the songs in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pochantas - easily in the top 3 ever disney films. the first to really adress real contempary issuse such as race.
