the main thing that i didnt like was jennifer aniston and mark ruffalo. they didnt seem to have any onscreen chemistry. she and kevin costner had better chemistry. i thought the relationship was a little awkward from the start. i liked the beginning, when it was telling the family's story and the part with the graduate

I Thought It Was A Good Movie..
That was like an awsome movie and when that guy dated all of her family member's it was so weird -

Aniston seemed very comfortable in her role as the new Meg Ryan and displayed her full range that was 'her from Friends' yet again. Ruffalo pretended he was in a more challenging movie and it was odd to see Costner in a movie less that 3 hours in duration and not about baseball. Or golf.
Nothing to particularly hate or rave about here, it filled the vacancy left on a Sunday evening left by Top Gear and was approximately 83% more lady pleasing. -
MCT:July 12, 2008Mediocre plot, not alot of guesswork, you can figure out the plot and ending in the first 15 minutes, not a total waste of time, but definately not worth seeing more than once.

I thought it was a very very very cute movie! The men were charming, the women were somewhat of golddiggers? I don't know.. it was really cute and possibly better than the original, "The Graduate"... Dustin Hoffman is hard to beat though!

MCT:July 6, 2008I like this movie. Quality film, good sets, good scenery, good acting, good comedy, an all around good film. About a girl that believes she's adopted and tries to find her real father, with unforseen and hidden circumstances. I recommend this film; it was fun.

This film looked absolutly hillarious! I was dieing to see it but when I did I was slightly disappointed, the storyline entertaining enough but not as funny or exciting as I thought it would be. Overall it was quite humorous and basically entertaining so I suppose its worth watching if your looking for something to keep you occupied!

Rob Reiner's homage to 'The Graduate' had an excellent cast and terrific premise. The only problem is, it was a total failure of a film. Please Rob Reiner, get your act together and make something good again!

I really wasn't sure about this film when I started watching it. I knew that is was connected to the Graduate but wasn't sure exactly how. I hadn't seen the Graduate in years and I advise those of you that have not seen it to watch it before you watch this because it is completely ruined in this movie. The whole plot is revealed as the plot of this film progresses. This film doesn't do the Graduate justice and in some ways doesn't try to. It is sort of a what happened after film. The acting wasn't great. Average more than anything else. Jennifer Aniston I don't believe was the best choice of lead actors. Her whole persona was just too like her Friends character. Which in this case wasn't a good thing. I can see why people wouldn't enjoy it. It has many flaws and I think it would be more worth your while to just rent the Graduate again, even if you have already seen it.

I really liked The Graduate and this is a story that lends the tale from that (or so the rumour goes).
Don't know if I thought it was really any good though. I guess I'll give it an okay, maybe it's more of a chick flic. -

Sooo unexpectedly good. Apart from the creepy "slept with all 3 generations" theme, this is definitely one of the deepest and most touching finding-yourself movies.

As chick flicks go, they don't come much trashier or incoherent than this steaming pile. All the vague references to 'The Graduate' are a bit of an insult to the 1967 classic and even "blunt testicular trauma" fails to get a laugh. Shirley MacLaine was a bit of fun, but the bitchy, cheating, whiny Aniston sucked all sympathy out of what might have passed for a reasonable romantic comedy. And don't even get me started on the disturbing nature of the plot..... urgghhh!!!

After watching this, I have become curious of The Graduate and I have planned to watch it. Despite the one little disturbing thing about the story, the mixed reviews of this film and most of them being negative, I still think that this is an interesting movie.

I really liked it! Didn't really like Kevin Costner in it tho he was a bit out of place, even tho he was the whole story! Lol! Jen's dress at the ball-loved it! It was sooo pretty & her hair looked great 2! Mark Ruffalo I liked! Katherine was the best probz-she was funny! Had the best lines! Any other fans-contact me ok!

I saw this today and found it quite amusing but I think Shirley McClaine stole the show albiet Jennifer was beautiful to look at (love that hair-stunning) but I felt she just didn't seem to have her heart in the movie.....
