This beats stumbling over crap in the photo sites with curiosity or any type of intrigue on your plate `teh . Seen it all now...enough safe for adults to watch thats all i have to say abt that. Did stumble over Avril Lavigne, recalling vaguely now she some screen work. The other two leads, Both Clair Dane (Stardust) and Richard Gere .. . . .
were great being full of expression in age and beauty.
The confronting nature of th film does leave a lot of capable understanding to the audience through either un-shocking scenes or graphic content to the up-most shocking of all i can think of anyways. even topped (9mm) for a motion picture of that scale of distribution. Having an understanding of death in the workplace in the portrayal of the retiring worker may well be out of, ( his or the successive replacement/assistant for HIS "flock" to oversee) job requirement but i can sympathize that it would really be a hard line to in,needing a very hard edge to see the story from this angle "needing a little help with the upheaval of the changes to the flocks well . . . ( i couldn`t begin to imagine ) the nest egg we have in society for these types of people", using the young beautifull assistant/partner wisely glossing over alot of the shady tactics that man han to find closure from.
I really sat up in this film a good thriller to the end tapering off and comming away rather well. i hope you too come away from this kind of exposure good as well. Enjoy as a movie.
I don't think this is entertainment, nor a thriller and one thing, the camera movement is disturbing, and I hate that. But this film has a small revelation at the end, I just don't like the storyline, I hate the idea of this film, it's about sex offenders, but it does have a sense. So if you love that idea, try watching this and tell me what I've missed.
This riveting psychological thriller recalls the feel of macabre masterpieces like 8MM, Se7en and The Silence of the Lambs.
Richard Gere's character in the film is reminiscent of The X-Files' Fox Mulder. He's hyper-vigilant, slightly forlorn and determined to seek out the truth, even if others don't want him to.
I really liked this movie alot. Richard Gere at his best and a good storyline. Another side of what happens to people that just disappear.
A connfronting film unsurprising that it was omitted theatrically and released straight to DVD. The Flock is about an ageing Department of Public Safety operative Babbage (Gere) about to be ''let go' due to his questionable methods of dealing with the sex offenders her captures. He must educate newcomer (Danes) about the painstaking profession whilst attempting to retrieve a recently missing 17-year-old Harriet. The Flock seems at first to be lacking in any real direction, it doesn't know where its going. Sure it has its moments of sexual sadism to do with the suspects our protagonists hound but it never really makes for comfortable viewing. The film actually benefits from Gere, who is relatively good and Danes is reasonable. Its disturbing at times, the lengths these violent sexual deviots go to, and the audience does end up caring enough for the plight of the missing girl to genuinely hope she is rescued from the clutches of the madmen and as it turns out mad-women responsible.
