An engaging and unusual mix of a sports-flick and a psychological drama. There's an obvious predictability attached to it, for being by nature another feel-good, inspirational story about the triumph of an underdog in adversity. But the film also manages to be an equally compelling look from the inside of Obree's illness and the decision to make a film about a not-so-popular sport (cyclism) is always applaudable in my book.

Although i believe the crew have now been paid the company withheld it all originally because of a fall in funding and sudden problem. Some crew did 6 months on this and it took nearly a year to get their pay back - not boding well for the makers - but watch it if for nothing else than to makes sure it makes enough to pay everyone the money they deserve.
