Great martial arts movie, It's always a pleasure to see great choreography in a movie such as this one.

Surprises abound (or at least for me) as this was a fine film.
It wasn't something I would label as a masterpiece, but then again.... It also wasn't a banal, unfunny, and mediocre.
Very enjoyable and more amusing than it lets on.

Jet Li & Jackie Chan, together? Sweet. The plot was 'bleh', but I really enjoyed this movie just for the fight scenes.

In gong-fu movie lore, it has long been foretold that one day two of the greatest stars of the genre would come together one day on the screen. That day has come in "The Forbidden Kingdom," which stars two of the latest and greatest stars of the martial arts movie genre - Jackie Chan and Jet Li.

Chan and Li in one movie. Must be good uh? Well it's not, thanks to the American boy and the way the producers try to appeal to an American audiance.

A really enjoyable martial arts film that finally sees Jet Li and Jackie Chan in the same film, though they did have to shoehorn it through the American world. I suppose this was an effort to draw in the wider audience, but whatever.

It's a fun film, give it a look.

    Recommended.

Was an ok Movie. If you like Jet Li movies or Jackie Chan movies. Was a fantasy martial arts type movie. Kind of reminded me of Hero mixed with Conan. Not the best Jet Li movie but ok. Worth a rental. I loved the Sorceress girl with the long blonde hair she rocked! The kidn kind of annoyed me.

Finally, after so many years and so many movies for each 1, Jackie Chan and Jet Li are together in this mov', looking amazingly beautiful.
    Confirmed!
It's an excellent movie, full of adventure, fights, magic, beautiful places...
Sadly, the young american is a bad choice. It spoils a bit the movie. But not too much.

The only thing I liked was Jackie Chan (he's just awesome and adorable - Rush Hour? Hellz yeah!) and Jet Li as the Monkey King. How funn was he! I still don't know what that white boy was doing there. Too random.

With Jet and Jackie in this movie, it was a slight disappointment, not as actiony as i thought it would be, but otherwise, a very well written plot.

    "I'll never forget you."

"I guess that's what being immortal truly means."

"He who speaks, does not Know; He who Knows, does not speak. Surely you're masterful."

    "I don't think so."

    "Don't think, just do!"

Thoroughly enjoyable! It's many genres joined into one. And very good partnership between the Hong Kong and Hollywood cast.

This hotly-anticipated pairing of martial arts legends Jackie Chan and Jet Li features dazzling fight scenes but is weighed down by too much filler.

The kids (and the kids in us adults) should love this fantasy adventure film. It's Karate Kid, Monkey and The DArk Crystal all rolled into one. Thoroughly enjoyable and recommended

It is a good thing that the news of Jackie and Jet working together over-shadow the movie because I went into the movie completely clueless and came out amazed.

But the biggest disappointment from that news is that it over-shadows Collin Chou who plays the Jade Warlord!!! WTF!!

Collin is sooo freaking cool and his Hollywood profile isnt bad either. Seriously, he was the Seraph in the Matrix, Hayate in DOA, and Jet Li's father in Fearless. Not to mention he fought Donnie Yen in Flash Point just last year.

Those of u that havent seen Forbidden Kingdom should anticipate seeing him too cuz this mofo is almost just as good as Jet and Jackie, almost.
