I actually only got this on DVD was one, Blake Lively was in it and two, it was £5.

So magically, these 4 different sized girls could fit in the same pair of jeans. If only that could happen. Blake is like 6' and America is like 5'2? (Just estimates btw).

They all go off in the Summer and they send each other the jeans as they think it will bring each of them good luck.

I liked the whole Romeo and Juliett thing with Lena (Bledel). Bridget was very interesting as she has lost her mother. And yeah...
I liked Tibby's story the most. She and her friend Bailey. I cried when she died. SO SAD. I actually got a tissue!

Overall I didn't think it was that good but it was watchable.

Four best friends plan to stay in touch with one another as their summer plans keep them worlds apart, by passing around a pair of jeans that fits each of their bodies perfectly. A great adaption.

I was suprised by how much I really love this film, when I saw the poster and read the description I thought its going to be a real cheese on toast of a movie.
Even though you could say that it is in a way, but in a way thats adorable that highlights the importance that is friendship. It focuses on a group of four best friends who have known eachother practically since birth, who are seperating for the first time for the summer and just before they leave they find a pair of jeans that fits them all (weird, yes. Cheesy, I didn't think so) and with this they use them as their one connection to eachother to keep their friendship strong while apart.
I thought the actors were great in their roles, I especially liked America Ferrera and Alexis Bledel. Every single one of them were so different yet together they had great chemistry that totally sold to you that they were indeed best of friends. It really does make you feel jealous in a way at how good of friends they are (luckily I have one and thats plenty for me) but at the same time it allowed to you be a part of their friendship which definately makes it a feel good movie. I really did like the concept of seeing each of their sepearte summer experiences but yet together through the pants. Definately one of those films you could watch anytime and watch again when your feeling bored, down or just fancy watching an easy going movie.

Why did they write out the character of Effie!? This is still a good adaptation, though, and one of the best-cast movies I've ever seen (each of the girls very much matches her character's description in the books).

This movie was better than I thought. I'm so glad it was filmed in Vancouver. I could recognise the city in some scenes. I find the couples in this movie real cute. This movie's a bit of a tearjerker. I really like lBailey and the scenes showing how the 4 girls in the Sisterhood when they were little. =)

It would be cool if we all could have friends like these girls in the movie. I know I have one but they're very hard to find. The movie tells the story about four friends who all go their seperate ways for the Summer, They all discover who they really are and grow up. Beautiful film to watch with friends. Now I know why my best friend sent me a pair of jeans....only problem is, they don't fit me!

I must be honest that I enjoyed the film much more the second time I saw it, never realised that it was so funny, sad and gripping all at the same time.
It was well acted and well thought, and I must say that I actually found this movie very entertaining...

I liked this movie because to me it was a story of four sisters who wherever they went needed eachother and were there for eachother no matter how far away they were. They could stay home, go away and still have eachother there daily... and the pants are the "Port Key" to eachother.

A film with extreme cheese but total heart as well. All four girls gave outstanding performances and that alone should be reason enough to watch this film. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it quite so much, but I really did - it was funny, it was sad, it was feel good. Great late night entertainment!

Well, I cannot believe I just gave a chick flick a good rating. I tuned in to this movie because I was extremely bored and nothing else was on. I usually avoid chick flicks at all cost, because they are usually too girly and melodramatic, and i am basically, a guy in a girl’s body, but i said what the hell? Just watch the movie, and if you hate it, you hate it. That is just it. I did not hate it. In fact, i loved it. It was not at all too dramatic. It was not some dinky girly lame-brain movie. It actually was about things that mattered. One of the girls have unresolved anger towards her father for leaving her at a very young age and then forming another entirely different family, leaving her feeling like he was ashamed of her. Another girl had unresolved feelings about her mother’s death and did something she later regretted because she realized that at the time she was running away from the pain and thoughts of losing her mom. Another girl finds herself caught in a Romeo and Juliet situation, when she visits her family in Greece, and falls in love with the son of a family of which her family considers rivals. Lastly, one depressed emotionless girl find herself forced to be friends with a little girl who wants to be her assistant. She later finds out that the little girl has a terrible disease and she realizes that this little girl helped her find and express her emotions and find her heart. It was a nice movie. I really liked it, to my surprise.

the movie had nothing to do with the book. it was soo wrong. only half the movie was right...
for instance: Lena's grandmother wanted desperatley for her to like/love Kostos...DUH...god did no one who read the book first then saw the movie think 'hold up a second thats wrong'...Grrr...either way it was a good movie and lets see when they make the second movie how acurate they are.
