It's amazing how Oliver Stone and crew recreated the trauma of 9/11, especiallly the part when the police arrived at the scene until the part showing the collapse of the towers.

It was as if Stone was actually present at the WTC and took footage. Naturally the scene was recreated using special effects and a studio but the effect and danger was undeniably immersive to viewers.

Thumbs up should be given to the screenwriters for faithfully capturing police lingo/language which effectively was not understood by many...which should be.

Still some viewers complained about the use of music, especially with the moment of Nicolas Cage being pulled out from the rubble. The music sounded "too triumphant", especially considering the overall impact of the tragedy.

My husband felt this film was a little biased towards the Port Authority Police and not enough was said about all the firefighters did. Other than that, it was still an intense movie movie that evoked the same feelings I had while watching the original footage of 9-11

With a lot in the media in anti terrorism this is a sad film which will make you sit in front of your tv or plasma screen without worrying about objective political battles, tells the story how it is. I would really recommend watching this with the commentaries by the original fire fighters, very moving to the heart and soul.

A spectacular triumph. Oliver Stone has crafted another tremendous film experiance. Astonishing, stunning and incrediabley remarkable. A drama about the surival and power of the human spirit. This film packs serious emtional punch from one of histories most dramatic and disasterous events. Powerful and extroadinary. This film will take your breath away. An outstanding and unforgettable movie. Brilliant performances from it's all-star cast. Nichols Cage gives his best and most compelling performance yet. Michael Pena gives an great performance.

I thought they'd wait longer to make movies about the World Trade Center tragedy, but some studio wanted something created for the 5-year anniversary. I can't bring myself to watch this yet.

Seemed to be very accuarate and as close as you're going to get to what happened on 9/11. Just got slow and boring at times.

Very moving and emotional movie, as far as the events of that day. The focus seemed a little off track though, but not neccessarily making it a bad movie.

World Trade Center is selfless filmmaking at its best. Here, without frills or bombast or politics, is the day the world turned upside down.

There are moments in history that freeze time to stand still, allowing all who witness the moment to soak in every second, every smell, every sight, every sound, every particle of their surroundings. 9/11/01 is undoubtedly one of these moments. These moments make you truly see what the human race is capable of. Whether you see the best, or whether you see the worst. You are right. May we never forget that feeling, that love, that remose, that sorrow. For it is in these moments we are truly tested. It is in these moments where we are truly defined. Whenever you finish watching a movie, you tend to verbally comment on what you just saw, whether to someone close by, or whether just to yourself. THIS movie, however, enduces silence, a jaw-dropping awe of what you just saw. And it's THIS silence that defines the movie as no words can truly express the emotion felt.

Very sad :( But I thought they did a good job of portraying what those 2 men went through on September 11.

It is one thing to create United 93, but to recount this story so soon after the event took place is something that I don't believe should be done. I realise it would be emotional, I realise it has potential, but for the sake of morality I am opposing this film.

Oh my cunting Christ, this happened five goddamned years ago. Everyone knows about it, everyone remembers what happened, and there have already been three movies about it. Make your damned profits in another ten years when the newer generation is interested in what happened, but leave it the fuck alone for now.

I was a bit apprehensive about seeing this movie because I thought that Oliver Stone would sensationalize the events of this tragic day and piss-off a lot of people. Here, Stone skips the conspiracy theories and opts to go with an emotional approach. Of course, there will be some die-hard fans who'll be pissed-off anyway because they won't get their fair share of historical distortion, violence and gore. But this movie deals with a touchy subject and Stone tackles it head on without disappointing. The focus is on the story of two port authority officers who become trapped in the rubble in the hours following the collapse of the twin towers. The story focuses on them and on their wives. Stone knows how to bring out the best in his actors and wrings-out the most out of the script he works with. The screenplay is excellent and really connects emotionally. Maybe this is because it was written by a female. Who knows. It seems to me that it would be a different film entirely had it been written by a man. Maybe not a better film...and for that we should be grateful. Many will say this movie comes too soon, but better it be now (recent) and better it be made by a director and cast who understand the impact this day had on the people who will be viewing the movie. The film is not as emotionally draining as you might expect.

At 1st I didn't want to watch this movie but my fiancee bought it and kept insisting that I did. It was a very emotional movie for me knowing that this was a true story of a tragedy that actually happened just a cpl of years ago. I'm sorry to all the ppl who lost fam & friends on that horrific day. It was horrible to watch what these 2 men went thru but the movie was portrayed pretty good. I just wished that this wasn't a true story and more a figment of a writers imagination, but its sad to say that it is real!
