Four years ago, Peter O'Toole expressed dismay at receiving an honorary Oscar, saying he was ``still in the game.'' The transporting performance he gives in ``Venus'' proves that he was not kidding.

Heh, heh.... They probably gave him that honorary Oscar because they thought he was going to croak soon. Kind of like why Jessica Tandy won an Oscar for 'Driving Miss Daisy'.

I am happy to see him still working, however, given Hollywood's blatant history of ageism. This sounds like a good film.

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie. SHould be an interesting viewing and considering how well O'Toole played the aged Casanova in the BBC adaption, I think he'll be marvellous in this role.
