A new attempt on Street Fighter, about the female fighter Chun Li in the lead role

Street Fighter is coming back to the big screen thanks to Hyde Park Entertainment and Capcom Ltd.

The two companies are teaming to produce the film based on the videgame series, Street Fighter; Justin Marks, who just finished his Voltron script. Variety saus the film will focus on the game's most popular female fighter, Chun Li, but the exact storyline is being kept under wraps.

Street Fighter is looking to complete the film by 2008, which would mark the 20th anniverary.

    If anybody they should center it around Ryu & Ken. The rivalry between those two wasted many quarters All over the world. AND THEY BETTER STAY AS CLOSE TO THE GAME STORYLINES AS POSSIBLE!!!

    I have to totally agree with that the game was never about Guile it was about all the fighters if your gonna do a movie based on a fighting game have all the players make a big mark not just one.

    hmmm, sounds interesting. anything to help me forget that other horrid street fighter film (why the hell did they centre it around Guile??)
