‘Wanted’ Breaks Box Office Records

The Angelina Jolie action thriller Wanted scored the best opening ever for an R-rated film released in June and the 6th best opening of all time for any R-rated pic, according to Variety.

The film, which also starred James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman, placed No. 2 at the box office this past weekend behind the endearing toon Wall-E.

At $23.1 million, Wall-E scored the biggest opening-day gross of all nine Pixar films and raked in an estimated $62.5 million for the weekend. Wanted soared beyond expectations, pulling in a whopping $51.1 million.

FYI: If you haven’t seen Wanted yet, you get to see Angie’s derričre in all its glory for a mere split-second.

    Can't wait to see this one..head is gonna explode..will gladly buy this on High quality dvd and Mcavoy was so great in Dune movies and gotta love Freeman and Jolie :)

    Although i'm sure this film will be a bit stupid i actually want to check it out.It's always good to see something that doesn't take itself to seriously; Shoot em'up for example.I actually want to see it even more now i know we get to see Angelina Jolie's ass.Even if its for a split second,that second could be the best second ever!

    Although it was slow @ times I think it was a good movie........The special effects were awesome..I luv Freeman and Jolie......It's worth a look see after all it's summertime live a little.....LMAO
