Rachel Getting Married actress Anne Hathaway has inked a deal to play the White Queen in Tim Burton’s upcoming adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.

The film, which will use both live action shots and performance-capture technology, is set to star Oscar-nominated star Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter while newcomer Mia Wasikowska in the lead role of Alice.

Alice in Wonderland is scheduled for release in March 2010.

    I think this is a very good decision. I can't wait to see it. She would also make a good Audrey Hepburn as well.
